Abgenex AbFlow™ sheath fluid (20X) is a ready to use, filtered, pH balanced solution. The concentrated sheath fluid saves storage space, is easy to prepare and at 1X concentration can be used in any flow cytometer. AbFlow™ sheath solution (1X) can also be used for cell sorting by flow cytometers.
PREPARATION: Each bottle of AbFlow™ sheath fluid contains 500 ml of 20X solution and must be diluted to 1X prior to use in a cytometer. In order to prepare 10 liters of 1X sheath fluid, pour entire content of the bottle into a clean container and add 9.5 L of filtered distilled water to a final volume of 10 liters. Mix well before use.
In case of cytometer with a smaller sheath fluid tank, add 100 ml of 20X sheath fluid to 1900 ml of filtered distilled water to make 2 L of 1X Sheath fluid. For preparation of buffer with any other denominations, please use appropriate amount of sheath fluid (20X) and water. Filtered distil water is recommended for optimal usage. Never use the AbFlow™ sheath fluid at any concentration other than mentioned. Keep the buffers at room temperature. Always keep the solution container capped when not in use.
APPLICATION NOTES: To be used in 1X concentration in a flow cytometer. If sterile sorting condition is required, the diluted 1X sheath fluid must be filtered using a 0.22 µm membrane filter prior to use.
USAGE: This solution can be used only in research laboratories in any flow cytometer as sheath fluid. This product is NOT for diagnostics or therapeutic use.
