ICAM2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 225 amino acids (22-223) and having a molecular mass of 24.8 kDa.ICAM2 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Intercellular Adhesion Molecule-2 (ICAM2) belongs to the intercellular adhesion molecule (ICAM) family. All ICAM proteins are type I transmembrane glycoproteins, containing 2-9 immunoglobulin-like C2-type domains, and bind to the leukocyte adhesion LFA-1 protein. The ICAM2 protein has a role in lymphocyte recirculation by blocking LFA-1-dependent cell adhesion. ICAM2 mediates adhesive interactions vital for antigen-specific immune response, NK-cell mediated clearance, lymphocyte recirculation, and additional cellular interactions essential for immune response and surveillance.
