PCYT2 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 409 amino acids (1-389) and having a molecular mass of 45.9kDa.PCYT2 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
PCYT2 is a member of the cytidylyltransferase family. PCYT2 is an enzyme which catalyzes the formation of CDP-ethanolamine from CTP and phosphoethanolamine in the Kennedy pathway of phospholipid synthesis. PCYT2 has the strongest expression in the liver, heart, and skeletal muscle.
