A partial length recombinant HOXA9 protein (amino acids 63-272) was used as the immunogen for this antibody. |
HOXA9is a well-studied member of theHOXAcluster, and it plays a significant role in both normal hematopoiesis and leukemogenesis. HOXA9 is expressed in EC (Endothelial Cells) and its expression is rapidly downregulated during EC activation by inflammatory signals like TNF-alpha (Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha) and LPS (lipopolysaccharide) . In humans,HOXA9was found to be highly expressed and required in some subtypes of leukemia, particularly mixed lineage leukemia (MLL)-rearranged leukemia. The aberrant overexpression ofHOXA9is thought to be associated with poor survival of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients.
Western blot analysis: 1-2 µg/ml
