GLK is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Glucokinase also known as GLK is a member of the bacterial glucokinase family. GLK is not highly significant in E.coli since glucose is already transported into the cell through
the PTS system as glucose 6-phosphate.
